Ways to order

If you’re new to QVC, just call us on freephone on 0800 50 40 30. You'll be given a free personal QVC membership number and confidential PIN - your passport to quick, convenient and secure home shopping with QVC.

Your QVC membership number and PIN are personal to you and should not be used by anyone else. Please keep your PIN confidential.

Whichever method of ordering you choose, you'll need to have the six-digit item number (eg 117515) that is shown online or on-screen and regularly mentioned during the product's demonstration by our presenters. If you have a QVC membership number please have it handy, together with your payment details.

On completion of your order, you will be issued with a unique order number, and we recommend that you make a careful note of this.

You'll find our entire range at www.qvcuk.com - over 15,000 products! It's easy to use and packed with regularly updated features and useful information. You can also see all the in-stock products that have been on air over the previous 24 hours, watch QVC live on your PC and sign up for regular email reminders for your favourite shows.

It's easy to order online. At the top of the QVCUK.com homepage, click on the department you want. A menu of product categories will appear alongside a product feature article (the same menus are available further down the home page too).

Click on the category that you want to go to, and you’ll be taken to a more specific menu page with more categories to click on, which will take you to the Product Listing page. You look at the product simply by clicking on its name, and to order it, click on the Add To Shopping Cart button at the bottom of the page.

Follow the on-screen directions and enter the requested information, including your existing QVC membership number. If you're new to QVC, you'll need to fill in a form online, and, when you have made a purchase you will receive a QVC membership number that allows you to bypass this stage next time.

If you’re planning to buy more than one item, click on the Keep Shopping button instead of the Complete Checkout button. This will take you back to the QVCUK.com homepage.

When you have entered your information, click on the Complete Checkout button. We aim for 99% of orders to be dispatched within 24 hours of authorisation of your payment.

QVCUK.com has two checkouts: custom and express.
Use Custom Checkout if you wish to change your payment method, choose a faster shipping option or nominate a special ship-to address for your order.

Click on Express Checkout if your order is to be billed to the credit card details stored on file from your last order and shipped to your Billing / Ship-To address. A page showing your order details will appear. You can amend your details at this stage. When you are happy that all the details are correct, click on Submit Order.

We recommend that you print out the page that confirms your order details, for your personal reference (see payment).

Call our friendly representatives on freephone 0800 50 40 30 with the item numbers of the products you wish to purchase and your payment details. Please have a pen and paper handy - you will need to keep a record of your unique order number. If you're placing your first order by phone, you will automatically be given your QVC membership number and PIN number.

With QCut - freephone 0800 52 42 32

QCut is QVC's automated touch-tone telephone ordering service, designed to make shopping with QVC even quicker and easier. Call freephone 0800 52 42 32 and let QCut guide you through the ordering process. You can use QCut if you have a QVC membership number and PIN. Please note this service is only available to our UK customers.

If you’re paying by QVC card or debit/credit card, the system will automatically use your card details from your last order. If you want to pay by card but haven’t used a card before, you will automatically be transferred to a representative who will confirm your details.

You can pay by cheque or postal order from QCut; when your order is completed, the system will give you an order number to confirm this. Make a note of this number – you may need to refer to it later.

With QVC Active

Like what you see on air? If you're a Sky or Virgin TV customer you can order it through your TV screen with QVC Active. If you've shopped with QVC before, you can purchase any product from the entire QVC range available with just your remote control (or keyboard) and QVC membership details. It's quick, easy and totally secure - and the connection via your phone line is completely free.

If you’re paying by QVC card or debit/credit card, QVC Active will automatically use your card details from your last order. You can also pay by cheque or postal order with QVC Active; when your order is completed, the system will give you an order number to confirm this. Make a note of this number – you may need to refer to it later.

Payment

Purchase Price & VAT

Prices on screen include VAT at the UK rate. VAT will be deducted for VAT exempt orders (eg from the Channel Isles) and charged at the local rate for orders from Eire.

Postage & Packing – P&P

UK P&P is stated on screen. Deliveries to Eire will be charged at the European P&P rate. When you buy any amount of identical items at one time – and have them shipped to the same address – you will only pay full postage and packing for the first item. You will receive a 50% discount on P&P for the additional identical items ordered.

By credit or debit card

You can pay using any of the major credit/debit cards, or the QVC Card, whether you order by phone, online or through QVC Active on Sky or Virgin TV; these are the simplest and quickest methods.

By cheque or postal order

You can also pay by cheque, building society cheque or crossed postal order, made payable to QVC. Please don’t send cash. And we’ll be able to process your order more quickly if you don’t use staples, or fold your cheque or postal order.

To validate cheques, QVC uses the services of a third party company, TRANSAX*, who may refer to credit reference agencies.

* We use the Transax service, provided by Certegy Ltd, to authorise your cheque. We will pass them details of your cheque. If your cheque is subsequently returned unpaid, we will inform Certegy and also provide them with your name and address. Certegy will record this information and use it to decide whether to authorise your present and future cheques. Certegy may share their information with a Credit Reference Agency and the subscribers to that Credit Reference Agency in order to: 1) make credit decisions about you, your family and members of your household, 2) contact you to reciver any debt owed, and 3) prevent and detect fraud. For details about which Credit Reference Agency is used please call Certegy on 0870 240 4222. Certegy will charge you a fee if your cheque is dishonoured.

You need to put your QVC membership number and order number on the back of the cheque as well as your name and full address including postcode. When you pay by cheque or postal order, we’ll hold your order for ten working days while we wait for your payment to arrive – if we don’t receive payment in that time your order will be cancelled.

If you decide to order more items after placing your order with us and before sending your payment, just make out your cheque for the whole amount and include the new order numbers on the back of your cheque. This will make processing your order much quicker.

With Alliance & Leicester Transcash

As an alternative to postal orders, which can be expensive to buy, QVC offers Transcash as a method of payment. Simply go to the post office and complete a Transcash slip with QVC’s account number – 2267233 – on the front, and your QVC membership number and the order number on the back. Make sure that you retain your copy and the post office will do the rest. Please allow 3 days for it to reach us. Easy Pay

On selected items, QVC offers you the chance to spread payment of an item over the course of two, three or four months, interest-free. These offers are often only available for a limited period. When an item is available on Easy Pay, you’ll be informed of the offer alongside the price information on-screen, online and on our QVC Active services on Sky and Virgin TV. With Easy Pay you must pay with your debit/credit card, and the first instalment will include postage and packing.

Multi-quantity Purchases

When you buy any amount of identical items at one time - and have them shipped to the same address - you only pay full Postage and Packing for the first item. All subsequent items are charged at half the usual Postage and Packing price. Multi-quantity is great for when you’re buying gifts, refills and multiple items for friends and family.

Delivery

We despatch your order once your payment has been authorised, so if you're paying by cheque, for example, your order will not be sent out until the cheque has arrived and then been cleared. Our normal delivery time is 7 working days after authorisation of credit card or cheque. Please note, however, that delivery to countries outside the UK or delivery of items dispatched directly from our suppliers may take longer. There may be some exceptions whereby we are unable to deliver certain items to European destinations.

Please note a surcharge is applicable to all orders shipping to Eire and the Channel Islands.

Northern Ireland: customers can select premium delivery providing the package is under 1kg. This service will take up to three working days. If the package is over 1kg, there is no premium delivery service available. If you select standard delivery to Northern Ireland the package will take 5-7 working days to arrive.

Premium delivery, our express delivery service, is available for the UK mainland only. For an extra charge of £2.95 we deliver in three working days from receipt and authorisation of payment. This must be signed for, so please arrange for someone to be in to take delivery of the order. Please note, our premium delivery service is not available for orders that are despatched directly from the manufacturers.

Delivery to an alternative address

If you wish to have your order delivered to another address, simply ask the person taking your order. If you are paying by cheque, please make sure the address and postcode that you want the order delivered to is clearly marked on the back of your cheque.

On www.QVCUK.com, when you go through the checkout you have the option to fill in a special Ship-To address.

If your order is a gift for someone, we can send it to them directly. Let us know, and we will make sure the invoice that accompanies the item has no price or payment details.

What if I change my mind? (QVC’s 30-day money-back guarantee)

Every product sold by QVC is backed by our 30-day money-back guarantee. We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. However, if you change your mind about an item or would like to change the size or colour, simply return it within 30 days of receipt, in accordance with the return instructions and label enclosed with your order. We also recommend that you obtain proof of delivery. Where an item is too heavy to be returned via Royal Mail, please contact our Customer Service Representatives to arrange for collection by courier.

Provided that the item is returned in clean condition and in its original packaging, the purchase price will be refunded. You should allow up to 21 days from receipt of your returned goods at our Customer Operations Centre for your refund to be processed. We will normally refund you using the same payment method that you used to purchase the goods. Postage and packaging charges will not be refunded and customers are responsible for meeting the cost of return postage. This does not affect your statutory rights.

How do I return an item due to fault or damage?

QVC will refund the full purchase price including postage and packing of an item which is delivered in a damaged or faulty condition. We will also refund the full purchase price including postage and packing of an item which develops a fault within a period of 6 months from delivery (other than due to normal wear and tear, failure to follow instructions or misuse).

Alternatively, and at your option, QVC will replace the item with the same, or a similar product (subject to stock availability). Simply ring our Customer Service Representatives who will be happy to send you a pre-paid label to return the item via Royal Mail or arrange for a courier to collect it from you.

Please include your membership details and order number (if possible) with the returned item and indicate whether you require a refund or replacement (subject to stock availability). If the item is to be returned via Royal Mail, please remember to obtain proof of delivery. Please allow 30 days from receipt of your product at our Customer Operations Centre for your refund to be processed or replacement product dispatched.

QVC reserve the right to refuse or issue a refund/replacement item and to recover the cost of the returns delivery from you in the event that the item is found to have suffered damage after delivery or has been misused or used other than in accordance with the instructions or if the problem is due to normal wear and tear. We do ask that damaged or faulty items are returned promptly. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Cancelling your order
If you wish to use your statutory right to cancel your order for a refund, you must tell us in writing within 7 working days of receipt of the item and you must return the goods to us. (See below for returns instructions.) If you wish to use your statutory right to cancel, you will need to write to us at:

Please state your QVC membership number, relevant item numbers and order numbers. You must also return the goods to us unused and with their original packaging to the above address within 7 days of notifying us of your cancellation. Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. We also recommend that you use a proof of delivery service.

Certain goods are excluded from this statutory right to cancel; including goods that may deteriorate quickly such as flowers or food, and sealed audio/video recordings or computer software that has been opened.

We will refund the purchase price of the goods and the normal postage charge for sending the goods to you within 21 days of the date of your notice of cancellation. We will not refund any express/priority delivery charges. Please note that if you do not return the goods to us, we will deduct the cost of recovering the goods from you from your refund.

On Waitlist

Some items that are currently out of stock are available to order on our Waitlist service by phone, online or via our QVC Active service on Virgin TV. Our telephone representatives or an on-screen message will advise you if this option is available.

Waitlist means you can order it now by credit card and we will despatch it to you if it comes back in stock in the next 45 days. Your credit card will not be charged until the item has been despatched. If stock does not arrive within the next 45 days, the order will be cancelled and we will inform you by post.
